Nights at the Roundtable with We, The Modern Age! and a track off their debut ep, "Fireworks".

Pop/Indie from Italy. Makes perfect sense.

Okay, not completely sold on the name - We, The Modern Age! sounds just slightly to the right of odd and I'll admit I skipped right past them when I was doing my weekly rummage through Soundcloud. But breaking down and giving them the 20 second audition, I was pleasantly surprised.

We, The Modern Age! are one of those Indie/Pop/Alternative bands from Italy who have gotten the form down pretty well and have something good to add to the mix. I don't know how long they've been around, but tonight's track, Fireworks, is off their debut ep which came out today (October 25).

Like a lot of bands currently coming out of Europe, they've pretty much abandoned their native tongue in favor of English as the preferred singing language. And that's okay - not a prerequisite in my book, but a lot of radio stations, especially in this country, won't touch a band singing in any other language other than English. If that's an avenue of getting exposure, why not? If you're in this thing for the long haul you have to take every chance you can get, and hopefully this will be a successful course for We, The Modern Age! to take.

Good band, good production, hummable tune - all the right stuff.

You decide.
