Jumping into some Philadelphia Psychedelia tonight (well . .sort of Psychedelia - more Indie/Alternative but . . .) with Brown Recluse. Tonight's track is off their long awaited debut album, Evening Tapestry, and it's always nice to hear a band make strides in their sound and direction.
Impressions Of A City Morning is one of those nicely evocative songs we're really not all that used to hearing lately, and that's a shame. There's some good writing here and its well crafted.
A good song from a band that's been around for a while and still perfecting it - a positive sign for being in it for the long haul.
Check them out, check them out on Soundcloud and check out their label Slumberland, who have a lot of interesting artists associated with them. Further evidence music is still alive and well. It's just doing different things in different ways.
