A special concert this week, recorded live and direct from the Salle Pleyel in Paris by Radio France Musique on December 21, 2011 and featuring Orchestre de Paris conducted by the legendary Pierre Boulez in music of Arnold Schoenberg and Bela Bartok.
Starting off with Schoenberg's Verklarte Nacht and then, after some stage arranging, a performance of the Bartok 2nd Piano Concerto, featuring Bertrand Chamayou as solo. And after intermission, finishing up with the Bartok Concerto For Orchestra.
A memorable concert with a suitably ecstatic audience.
The concert (originally over 2 1/2 hours long) was edited (since it was live there was a lot of padding) and it's on two players -- the top player features the Schoenberg and Bartok Piano Concerto. And the bottom player finishes up with the Bartok Concerto For Orchestra.

I understand this concert was also televised and video live-streamed - but I have no idea what it sounds like.
In any event, a great addition to your Anti-Road Rage Wednesday collection of soothing non-violent music.
