Peter Frampton - standing on the verge of Mega-Platinum

Just before his milestone "Frampton Comes Alive" album, Peter Frampton was enjoying moderate success as Frampton's Camel, a band formed after his leaving Humble Pie.

Always a solid musician and performer, I don't think even he was ready for what was coming around the corner. But in this concert, recorded at a venue in Denver on March 6, 1974 it's pretty much the Frampton all of his Humble Pie fans knew and loved and it's almost an hour of straight ahead rock n' roll.

Those of you who only know Peter Frampton from his "Comes Alive" days are in for a treat. Those of you who were fans going back to Humble Pie (and even The Herd), get to be reminded what the fuss was always about.

Good concert, great musician, still burning up a storm - good times.

Enjoy and get on with your weekend (or at least get some distraction from the news).
