Donald Trump is furious over special counsel Jack Smith's court filings noting that MAGA Judge Aileen Cannon had ordered briefings based on a "fundamentally flawed" understanding of the case that has "no basis in law or fact."
Trump took to Truth Social to blast Smith over harsh criticism of the judge he appointed in 2020. She has been pictured in full MAGA gear, so her bias isn't a surprise.
With the two briefs Cannon requested, the first scenario would instruct a jury to assess whether each of the records that Trump is accused of retaining fell into the categories of "personal" or "presidential" as laid out by the Presidential Records Act.
The second version states that Trump had complete authority as president to take records he wanted from the White House.
Smith wasn't having it, and Lumpy is big mad.
Deranged "Special" Counsel Jack Smith, who has a long record of failure as a prosecutor, including a unanimous decision against him in the U.S. Supreme Court, should be sanctioned or censured for the way he is attacking a highly respected Judge, Aileen Cannon, who is presiding over his FAKE Documents Hoax case in Florida. He is a lowlife who is nasty, rude, and condescending, and obviously trying to "play the ref." He shouldn't even be allowed to participate in this sham case, where I, unlike Crooked Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and all the rest, come under the Presidential Records Act. I DID NOTHING WRONG, BUT BIDEN DID, AND THEY LET HIM OFF SCOT-FREE. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN, JACK? A TWO TIERED SYSTEM OF JUSTICE. ELECTION INTERFERENCE!
She is not a "highly respected" judge, only in Trump's mind. Trump's MAGA judge ran just four relatively routine criminal trials in her short tenure on the bench.
He's right about a two-tiered system of Justice. Bless his heart. The rich and powerful get away with everything, while regular Americans do not. This gets old. No one should be above the law.
