According to what former President Trump posted on his struggling Truth Social platform on Tuesday, he has received a target letter from special counsel Jack Smith. This means that indictments are likely to be dropped soon. Trump called it "very unfair."

In a Truth Social post, Trump said he received the “target letter” on Sunday night, offering him a chance to speak to the grand jury, which meets at the federal courthouse in Washington D.C., later this week.
It’s the clearest sign yet that Smith is close to seeking an indictment for Trump, though the specific crimes he’s considering are not clear.
Trump, of course, described it as "HORRIFYING NEWS" that "Deranged Jack Smith" sent him a target letter regarding the January 6th grand jury probe.
“Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden’s DOJ, sent a letter (again it was Sunday night!) stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation, and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the Grand Jury, which almost always means an arrest and indictment,” Trump whined.
"THIS WITCH HUNT IS ALL ABOUT ELECTION INTERFERENCE AND A COMPLETE AND TOTAL POLITICAL WEAPONIZATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT," Trump added. "It is a very sad day and dark period for our Nation!"
It is a dark period in our nation's history. That's true. And there is election interference -- on Trump's part. He's running to stay out of prison, and sadly, Trump turned his one term into a crime spree. Law & Order, motherfucker.
