Speaker McCarthy and House Republicans threw cold water on Rep. Lauren Boebert's attempt to force a full vote in the House to impeach President Biden over legislative differences.
Boebert claimed that "an invasion" is taking place in America.
“For the first time in 24 years, a House Republican-led majority is moving forward with impeachment proceedings against a current president,” Rep. Boebert said. “This bill allows impeachment proceedings to proceed through the traditional institutional channels by building a body of evidence at the committee level.”
McCarthy and other Republicans thwarted her idiotic efforts and sent her resolution off to the House Judiciary and Homeland Security committees in a party-line vote.
Thursday after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) reportedly raised concerns that they needed to pump the brakes on the process.
"I just think running something on the floor isn't fair to the American public without making the case and making the argument," McCarthy said.
Differences in legal legislative principles and beliefs is not a just cause for any impeachment. Most normal people in Congress understand this simple fact.
Boebert threatened to repeat the process if the committees blow her off and you know, they will blow her off.
