Forty-five years ago this week, Tangerine Dream released their fifth album Phaedra. It was the first album by the group to feature the sequencer-driven sound the group became noted for.

The All Music Guide to Electronica has declared the album "one of the most important, artistic, and exciting works in the history of electronic music".
