Election Night Outcomes: Ohio-12 Too Close To Call
August 7, 2018

It's election open thread.

Update (Karoli):

So...about OH-12. It's really, really, really close. But in the end, Balderson might pull it out while staying in recount territory. This, in a district that is as red as red can be. Republicans should be afraid. Very, very afraid. Whether O'Connor wins or loses, Republicans have spent a TON of money in a district that has been a slam-dunk for years. Decades, even.

In Missouri, the Right-to-Work initiative is going down in flames, and Claire McCaskill is the Democratic nominee for Senator.

In Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer has easily defeated her two challengers for the Democratic nomination for governor.

In Kansas, Kris Kobach is in a virtual tie with Colyer in early returns. Yes, THAT Kris Kobach.

More results to come....

UPDATE 2: With only provisional and absentee ballots left to count, Ohio-12 is too close to call. Danny O'Connor is not conceding, in spite of Balderson and Trump taking victory laps.

Missouri's Right to Work Law is dead by a 2:1 margin. Huzzah!

Kris Kobach is down by 2/10ths -- yes, TENTHS -- of a point against Jeff Colyer. It is anyone's race, with 82% of the vote in.
