The midterm gif contest is over:
We're continuing our coverage and online watch party in comments. This post will be updated as results continue to come in.

Update: O'Rourke and Cruz are neck and neck. Lots of votes out in Florida still with the race neck and neck for Governor and Senator.
Marsha Blackburn wins the Senate seat in Tennessee, and in Florida, the felon voting rights amendment passed.
Update 2: Dems pick up the IL Governor seat. O'Rourke leads Ted Cruz by around 22,000 votes with 58% of the vote in. Remarkable.
Update 3: Carlos Curbelo concedes, giving Dems another seat with control of the House almost a sure bet now.
Update 4: Sharice Davids (D) WINS KS-03. That's right, an openly gay Native American woman just won in Kansas.
Also, Mikie Sherrill (D) wins NJ-11 over Jay Webber.
Chrissy Houlihan (D) wins in PA-06.
Susan Wild (D) wins PA-07.
Update 5: KRIS KOBACH LOSES BID FOR KS GOV. Laura Kelly will be the next Governor of Kansas.
Elaine Luria wins In Virginia over Scott Taylor.
Mitt Romney wins Utah Senate seat.
Update 6: Kevin Cramer wins ND-Senate over Heidi Heitkamp
Update 7: Ted Cruz will win in Texas. Watch for Beto to be on the national stage. But, BUT BUT... (drum roll)... PETE SESSIONS LOSES his seat to Colin Allred in TX-32.
MSNBC and Fox News say Democrats will take control of the House.
Update 8 House seats are falling right and left, but it looks like Florida is too racist to have a Black governor. It is hard for me to understand how it can be possible for the voters to agree that felons should vote, thereby giving 40 percent of Black men in Florida the right to vote in the next election, but they can't abide the idea of a Black man serving as Governor. WTF, FL? - Karoli

Final Update:
They've finally called VA-07 for Abigail Spanberger. This one is especially sweet for me, because Dave Brat is a special jerk who definitely wanted to kill Grandma.
