Trump Manages To Read Speech Without Ad-Libbing

Watch media fall all over themselves to call him "presidential"

I don't want to diminish the suffering of those in Las Vegas, or the appreciation for first responders.

This speech sounded to me like Mad Libs. Plug in the name of the city It would be no different if there was a Democrat in office, until something is done legislatively about automatic weapons.

But hey, no "believe me"s. No "on many sides." That is now the standard of excellence for this White House. Kudos to whichever staffers told Donald Trump that if he ad-libbed even once during this reading of the teleprompters this morning, there would be...trouble. His nod to putting our "great flag" at half mast was the worst of it.

And note from the speech that this "moment of tragedy and horror" preempts the tragedy and horror in Puerto Rico. Trump is "postponing" his trip to the "island."
