The 2016 GOP presidential primary fight in Indiana has gone off the rails in a big way today, as Ted Cruz and his people are desperately trying to turn the tide towards his campaign.

In a press conference, Cruz went ballistic on Trump, even describing his battle with venereal disease, but before that presser, on CNN, Steve Lonegan, Cruz' New Jersey State director, dived exuberantly into a misogynist pit, filled with bile and hatred of women.

You may remember Steve Lonegan, water carrier for Americans for Prosperity, who ran against Cory Booker.

CNN's Kate Bolduan was discussing with Barry Bennett, now a Trump supporter, and Lonegan, about how the delegate breakdown will play out in Indiana.

Lonegan explained how Trump had attacked Ronald Reagan's foreign policies as bad deals, "Those are the deals that brought the Soviet Union to its knees."

Then he took it much farther than anyone could have imagined. "This is a battleground for the conservative future of this country cause, if Donald Trump does win tonight and pull out half the delegates, you're gonna see a very different Donald Trump tomorrow."

He continued, "Donald Trump's gonna look a lot like more like Hillary Clinton than he does like Ronald Reagan."

Bolduan then pressed him on the delegate math, "Give me a guesstimate on delegates - more than you got in New York?"

Lonegan proclaimed, "Ted Cruz is going to do very well tonight. He will outperform expectations like he always does."

Then he veered into his misogynist Valhalla.

"I don't believe the conservative base of this party is ready to throw everything over to a ..to Donald Trump, in essence, we're not going to nominate Hillary Clinton with a penis."

Bennett looked down at the floor, embarrassed and Kate Bolduan was very angry, but trying to hold it together.

"Steve."

"I said it."

"Steve, Barry, Steve."

"Why does this always happen on my show, why do you guys throw the crazy on my show? All I asked was a delegate count."

"Barry, permission to do anything as long as you don't repeat Steve." "Steve Lonegan is now in time out."

Look how satisfied Lonegan was with that hateful analogy. He's got that sh*t eating grin from ear to ear. He's loving it.

Sure, racism and misogyny are dead!

When will cable news networks start banning these idiots from ever appearing on their shows when they behave like this?
