Last night, Kendrick Lamar's new album, To Pimp a Butterfly was released eight days ahead of its scheduled release date.

The new album features a lot of different styles including funk and jazz blended in with hip hop. It's quite a bit jazzier than his last album, but his sound has also matured greatly. I think the lyricism has improved since his last album as well. This song features the talents of Rapsody as well as the bass playing of Thundercat, with whom he worked on Flying Lotus' album, You're Dead, last year. This one was definitely worth the hype and would be appreciated by fans of many genres, not just hip hop.
