Damu is pretty much the definition of DIY ethic as far as hip hop goes. He has released albums for free, performed as a street musician in multiple cities (using a generator to power his speakers), and built up a fan base through YouTube. It's not often that talent rises this way, but it's a welcome sight when it does.
