(The Mary Onettes - the volcano put a damper on their U.S. tour)

The Mary Onettes are a Swedish Indie/Alternative band who had to cancel their U.S. tour because of the volcano this past week. Otherwise you would have seen them up and down the East Coast this week and you'd be seeing them in San Diego next week and The Viper Room in L.A. on the 29th. But no. Nature had other plans.

But all is not lost. At least you can have a taste tonight of what you missed. This track, Explosions is off one of their recent ep's (I'm pretty sure). The Mary Onettes have been together since 2000 and have one album and several ep's out, all on the Swedish Indie label Labrador. You can get hold of their stuff, and read all about them on their MySpace page.

So in lieu of seeing them live this month . . .
