(Giorgio Moroder - singing phonetically didn't really seem to matter)
I know what you're thinking - "last week it was Sunshine Pop. Can Bubblegum be far behind?" The answer is no. Not your average practitioner of bubblegum sentiment, but Giorgio Moroder before he became anointed The Father Of Disco.
There was that period from 1966-1969 where our Master Of All Things Polyester was scratching out a living in Milan churning out bizarre and gooey 'tween concoctions sung phonetically against a backdrop of catchy hooks.
This was one such confection. Moody Trudy barely registered so much as a stomach ache here in 1969 but it was popular enough in Europe to spur Giorgio on the greater things only a few years later.
But just to let you know that success almost never comes overnight, here is a taste of one of Giorgio's earlier endeavors.
Don't blame me - it fell on to the turntable . . .honest!
