If anyone is going to flip on former President Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani should probably consider that -- quickly. And that might be the case as he conceded that he made defamatory statements about Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss to resolve their lawsuit against him and satisfy a judge who has considered sanctioning him.
CNN reports:
The late-night Tuesday filing from Giuliani says he doesn't contest Moss and Freeman's accusations that he smeared them after the 2020 election. Yet the filing says he still wants to be able to argue that his statements about voter fraud in the 2020 election were protected speech. Notably, he also refuses to concede that his statements caused damages to Moss or Freeman.
I'm not sure how that works. Trump's former attorney should look up the word' defamation.' He's obviously not familiar with it. Defamation: 'The action of damaging the good reputation of someone; slander or libel.'

He did not contest that “to the extent, the statements were statements of fact and otherwise actionable, such actionable factual statements were false.” The Georgia state election board formally cleared Moss and Freeman of all wrongdoing last month.
That's an interesting take. I can't be sued after putting their lives in danger because I've admitted it.
