Former VP Mike Pence announced his candidacy to run for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination today by proudly standing by twice-impeached, indicted sexual abuser Donald Trump.
Trump, who demanded Pence overturn the 2020 presidential election he lost by almost 8 million votes. Trump, who incited his supporters to build a gallows outside of the US Capitol on January 6th, while calling for his hanging execution.
Pence, who wants to outlaw all forms of abortion, was giddy while making his pitch for the White House.
"Now, most Americans know me from my last assignment in the White House," Pence said.
Pence then ran through his resumé until he said this: "And as your Vice President, I was proud to stand by President Donald Trump every single day when we made America great again," Pence declared.
Every-single-day! America was great!
Since the insurrection at the US Capitol on January 6, Mike Pence has behaved like a coward. He IS a coward.
Pence refused to criticize Trump after he was found liable for sexual abuse. Pence mildly -- and I mean mildly -- rebuked Trump over the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In March, he even refused to say whether he would or wouldn't support Trump again.
Pence behaves like most of the Republicans in Congress and on TV, promoting and supporting the most narcissistic and immoral man to ever hold the Oval office instead of telling the truth about him.
For all of his performative piety, Mike Pence is just another liar, like the rest of the Republican Party.
