The 33-year-old Texas shooter may have left somewhat of a manifesto on the Russian social networking platform OK.RU. I don't like using mass shooters' names when I write about them for obvious reasons. This guy sounds like an angry incel who, in one post, can be seen in shirtless pictures with large white power tattoos, including SS Lightning Bolts and a swastika across his chest.

Under the photo, it reads, "Here's what I think of your diversity you fucking loser's." [SIC]

The shooter's posts were riddled with misogynistic rants, and he even references specific incel forums and valorizes Elliot Rodger, whose 2014 mass murder spree in Isla Vista, California. The gunman does not have a criminal history.

NBC News reports:

In the weeks before the attack, the shooter posted more than two dozen photos of the Allen Premium Outlets mall, where the mass shooting occurred Saturday afternoon, and surrounding areas, including several screenshots of Google location information, seemingly monitoring the mall at its busiest times.

Many of his posts referenced his mental health. In his final post, he lamented what his family might say and wrote that no psychologist would have been able to fix him. He noted that he had expressed similar thoughts to his commanding officer.

The shooter also posted a series of links to other sites, including one of a YouTube account with one video posted the day of the shooting. In the video, he removes a "Scream" mask and says, "Not quite what you were expecting, huh?"

He consumed right-wing media.

Here is his RWDS patch, an acronym for Right Wing Death Squad.

He thought that women weren't entitled to safety.

He should have never had access to those weapons. We can thank Gov. Greg Abbott and his Republican pals for that. Thanks, guys. They'll blame mental health, but other countries have citizens with mental health issues and they don't have daily mass shootings.
