In the only country where mass shootings are a regular tragedy, a sweet 16 birthday party turned violent in Dadeville, Alabama after four people were shot dead. As many as 20 were reportedly injured on Saturday night.
AL.com reports:
The gathering was a Sweet 16 Birthday celebration, and most of those injured are teenagers. Tallapoosa County Superintendent confirmed that some local students were at the party but said he had no additional information he could give as of Sunday morning.
"This morning, I grieve with the people of Dadeville and my fellow Alabamians," Gov. Kay Ivey said in a tweet. "Violent crime has NO place in our state, and we are staying closely updated by law enforcement as details emerge."
Yes, that's the same Gov. Kay Ivey who signed a permitless carry bill into law in late December.
Kids can't even have birthday parties anymore.
It's the guns. We live in a gun-saturated country. Even worse, Republicans know this. They want to keep those NRA dollars flowing into their campaigns.
