Perpetual victim and serial liar Rep. George Santos (R-NY) claimed to Brazilian media that he was the victim of an attempted assassination. He further alleged that he was mugged in broad daylight on Fifth Avenue, and his shoes were stolen, according to a clip uncovered by MSNBC's Rachel Maddow. And his house was vandalized because he's a Republican. Poor George!
"I'm going to a New Year's Eve party with my husband. We go back to our house; it was vandalized because we were at a Republican Party in Florida in December 2020," Santos said. "So that's it. I've experienced vandalism."
They tried to kill him, you guys. Leave George alone!
"We have already suffered an attempt on my life, an assassination attempt, a threatening letter, having to have the police, a police escort standing in front of our house," Santos says in the clip.
George claims he was mugged "in broad daylight" on Fifth Avenue in the summer of 2021.
"They stole your shoes in the middle of Fifth Avenue?" the host asked George.
"In the middle of Fifth Avenue," George said. "And that wasn't the worst of it. Nobody did anything; nobody did anything. The fear is real. It's surreal what we live through here."
You don't say.
George has lied about his education, work history, and religion; he lied about his mother's death; he has aliases; he lied about owning 13 properties; he lied about his past as a drag performer; falsely claimed that he was on Hannah Montana, and he ripped off a dying service dog's GoFundMe. So, Republicans gave him two committee seats. Go figure.
