Despite the fact that the Capitol Police only monitor the security system at their house while Nancy Pelosi is there, Fox & Friends host Rachel Campos-Duffy looks like she's ready to start pushing some new conspiracy theory regarding the assault of Paul Pelosi.
While discussing the newly released video footage of the assault of Paul Pelosi, here's Duffy pretending there's something nefarious about the way Nancy Pelosi treated the Capitol Police following the incident:
HEGSETH: You know, this feels like an instance where if they had released this information sooner, a lot of speculation about what happened would have... because when you listen to that whole 911 call, it's like two and a half minutes, Paul Pelosi is a hostage trying to call the police under the pretense or trying to... this attacker is probably saying “Where is Nancy?” Well let me call and find out. Is this the Capitol Hill Police? You could hear him wanting to say yes, send the police, but potentially the phone is on speaker. So you've got to give Paul Pelosi a lot of credit in that instance.
CAMPOS-DUFFY: Yeah, he did handle that.
HEGSETH: He did what he could.
CAMPOS-DUFFY: I'll tell you what's interesting to me, that you don't hear Nancy Pelosi angry at the Capitol Police. I find it very, very interesting. Jason Chaffetz, some other Republicans have said this is a big fail on the part of Capitol Police that there was not anybody guarding that house...
HEGSETH: Can they guard it when she's not there? I don't think they do.
CAMPOS-DUFFY: Well they should given all the things that are happening, but she's very, very oddly... ummm... soft with the Capital Police. One has to wonder why.
They've been lying from day one about Pelosi somehow being responsible for security at the Capitol during the insurrection on January 6th. Who wants to take odds on whether Duffy is gearing up for some new conspiracy theory that Pelosi was somehow covering up for the Capitol Police response on that day as well? These people are just shameless liars about anything and everything if they think it benefits Republicans politically.
