Psychedelic funk. It wasn't too uncommon of a thing in the states in the 1960s and '70s. Also in the '60s, Tropicália music was huge in Brazil.

Even though both sounds had their heyday decades ago, they loom large in the bright and swirly sound of Melbourne, Australia's Bananagun.
