In what can only be described as artistic symbolism meets activism meets political commentary, this takes the gold medal. I have never seen a video quite like this. From the actor playing Trump to the jail cell to the rats to the decorations...it is amazing.
On Friday, March 30th, the anonymous group called Indecline rented a suite at the Trump International Hotel and Tower in New York City. The video shows them unloading over a dozen fully stuffed suitcases, loaded onto a rolling dolly and unpacked in a fancy hotel room. Cue the music. Face masks. Emptying the furniture from the main room, reminescent of the opening scene of an HGTV remodeling show....except more entertaining.
No shiplap or farm sinks or crown molding here, folks. No, this redecoration is better.
A very realistic MAGA hat wearing Trump impersonator was handcuffed in a jail cell, surrounded by live rats, McDonald's wrappers and a copy of the book he "wrote" - The Art of The Deal. Oh, and there was a super sexy photo for him to start at lovingly while he...you know. What photo? Ivanka? No. Melania? No. I won't ruin it for you.
The installation was called "The People's Prison" and the ominous phrase is etched on a picture that says: “rats will eat anything, even their rat king”.
Brilliant. Just brilliant.
