President Trump was interviewed by one of Fox News' more prominent Trump suck-ups, Pete Hegseth, and said NFL owners have a big problem, "I think they're afraid of their players you want to know the truth."

The inference being the owners are afraid of their Black players.

Just a few days ago, Hegseth told the audience of F&F that these athletes are the ones being divisive and must respect America.

The NY Times reported that Trump has admitted he's happy with the controversy he started against the NFL after telling owners they should fire the SOB's for protesting during the National Anthem because it shored up support with his [white] base.

Hegseth acts like he's Trump's missing son when he discusses the president on Fox and Friends and that he was granted this one-on-one interview as a result of his loyalty to the president.

Hegseth started off with the mother of all softball questions.

Pete said, "You have certainly started a national conservation Mr. President on the NFL. You said the NFL is a very important situation."

He continued, "Your critics say it's been a distraction, but you say it's critical. You talk about words like patriotism and citizenship. Why is this such an important issue for you?"

Trump replied, "Well, it is an important issue. It's not a distraction at all."

The so-called president then read off a list of his non-accomplishments he never did and then reveled in his self-fueled controversy.

He said, "The NFL cannot disrespect our country. They cannot disrespect our flag or our National Anthem. And they can't have people sitting down or kneeling down during our National Anthem."

Obviously, this isn't what the protesting players are doing, but since using high jingoism is much of Trump's platform, he easily turned 'anger at racial injustice' into 'the players are being unpatriotic.'

Trump described how he was offended by Kaepernick and was moved to make his fascist statement against players protesting during his Alabama rally.

After going on at length about rules and honoring and disrespecting the flag, Pete asked a follow-up question that was just as myopic as his opening salvo.

Hegseth said, "What prompted that in Alabama?"

Pete, Trump just explained to you why he said what he said.

Trump said he has many NFL owners as friends and they told him they have a situation they need to deal with.

Actually, the owners did respond to Trump's words last Sunday by siding with their players in masse against him.

Trump continued, "I think they're afraid of their players, you want to know the truth, and I think it's disgraceful and they've got to be tough and they've gotta be smart."

Everyone can read between the lines on that one.

The NY Giants Justin Pugh originally came out against Colin's protests but after talking to other players changed his mind.

"What happened with (Colin) Kaepernick originally is he was sitting and I did take offense to that," Pugh said. "I posted about it and talked about it but now realizing he's not trying to disrespect the military, he's not trying to disrespect the flag or the United States, he's trying to raise questions to start a conversation, and that's definitely something I can get on board with."

Now that's something you won't hear on Fox and Friends.
