Donald Trump gave his "big national security speech" today where he was supposed to lay out a national security policy and plan to defeat ISIS.
There isn't much to say on that. He basically said he wanted to build up the military to historical proportions, but didn't say what he'd do with said military. He said he'd "convene the generals" to give him a plan to defeat ISIS, so in other words, status quo.
In many ways, it reminded me of Mitt Romney's whines about how we have too few ships, which President Obama ripped apart with his mockery about "horses and bayonets."
But then we got to electronic warfare, or what Trump calls "cyber," and things got a little weird.
“Nothing threatens the integrity of our democracy more than when government officials put up their office for sale," he thundered.
Well, he would know, now wouldn't he? Here he is bragging in a Fox debate about how he gives money to elected officials, and when he calls, they're there for him.
If he is so worried about the state of our democracy, perhaps he should come clean on his donations to Pam Bondi and Ken Paxton.
