Senator Ted Cruz was the embodiment of everything conservative talk show hosts like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh had hoped for.
Sen. Cruz had been working his entire career to be president and they believed Cruz was channeling the spirit of Ronald Reagan.
So when he refused to endorse Trump at the RNC convention and instead vote with your consciences, they were elated he stuck to his principles.
However, a rude awakening has befallen them all.
Cruz shattered their psyches when he announced he was ditching his own conscience and voting for Donald Trump, the man that mocked his wife's looks and promoted the idea that his father assassinated JFK.
After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump
Conservative talk show host Glenn Beck, was very down after learning that his hero would endorse Donald Trump and took to Facebook to vent his depression.
Profoundly sad day for me.
Disappointment does not begin to describe.
Maybe it is time to go to the mountains for a while. (Read below and notice the knives prodding that direction)
Again, disappointment doesn't begin to describe my feelings.
America is an idea, not a country. When we discuss the destruction of our country, that is vastly different than the destruction of an idea.
I fear the idea is already lost, due to the panic of losing ones comfort and country.
There are many things that I believe that I will never say, but I shall never say the things I do not believe.Come what may.
The founders meant it much differently when they said: join or die.
Welcome to the big tent. GOP / DNC 2016 join or die.
Long live the idea of the republic.
Are they finally learning what we already knew?
Cruz is just a typical conservative opportunist with no moral convictions what so ever.
