Charlie Gasparino is a typical right-wing Fox Business guy who despises government, even when it works properly. He seldom acknowledges the failures of the free-market, like when the I-35 bridge collapsed in Minnesota, he neglected to mention that the privatization of maintenance and upkeep was the cause of the tragedy.

This is not a man who has objectivity when it comes to the successes of the Obama Administration with regards to some positive economic accomplishments. The auto-industry bailout is one that he seems to ignore as having positive effects on the economy. Unfortunately, Gasparino blames the problems of Detroit on 'liberal tax and spend policies' which fails to mention the idiotic Snyder Administration's tax cuts for the super rich, which tragically depleted the coffers and sent social programs spiraling into the crapper. The effects of austerity on the government of Michigan is proof enough that austerity kills. Period.

Gasparino praised that infamous 'T' word speech about the economy yesterday as being 'right-on on taxes, right-on on energy, right-on on regulations.' He laments Trump for the demagogic tendencies he reverts to in every speech, he generally goes off on a tangent and essentially makes things up and pontificates on the delusions of his addled brain.

GASPARINO: Somehow he sat there and blamed Detroit's woes on NAFTA!... That's absurd...

Charles Payne attempted to defend Trump's claim because so many manufacturing jobs have gone to Mexico, but Gasparino was apoplectic and miffed that the host would lend credence to Trump's NAFTA accusation.

GASPARINO: Detroit has been a liberal experiment hellhole way predating NAFTA.

He would have been better off sticking with realistic stuff and not demagoguing trade wars.

One of these days, it'd be nice if these right-wing economists would factor in the Bush-induced recession,, the illegal wars and all the tax cuts, those little details...and maybe we can have an honest conversation about the cause and effect of economic woes. But don't turn to Fox 'News' or Fox Business for that sort of reality. They will be the last to admit to the truth of recent history.
