MSNBC's Chris Matthews interviewed Paul Manafort on a whole host of issues before Thursday night's speeches began, including the problems Trump has appealing to the ladies.

Manafort basically said that Trump will become their sugar daddy, take care of them and their men so they can "afford their lives."

Matthews said that women "whenever a man, you are a man or Trump criticizes Hillary Clinton, they hear male criticizing women. How do you avoid that?"

Manafort agreed and then said, "It depends on which women you talk to. There are many women in this country that feel they can't afford their lives, their husbands can't afford paying the family bills."

He blamed Hillary Clinton as being part of the establishment and said, "They're gonna hear the message and as they hear the message. That's how we're going to appeal to them."

Matthews was stunned and said, "You know what you just said? You said women are concerned about their husband's income."

Laughingly Paul replied, "I can speak personally to that."

Matthews said, "That's their big concern, how their husband's are doing at work?"

Manafort said again, "Because they can't afford their lives anymore. That's the point."

Matthews gave Manafort a chance to redeem himself and he just doubled down on his misogynistic answer. Wow, just wow.

OK, ladies, you've heard it from the mouth of the Trump campaign. The only thing women are concerned with in America are their husband's salaries.
