Apparently Cliven Bundy and his whack "attorney" Larry Klayman have decided the best defense is an offense, whether good or bad.
In this latest installment of Cliven Bundy Goes To Court, Bundy is suing the federal government, Harry Reid, Reid's son Rory, the judge who ruled Bundy couldn't use Klayman as his attorney in the Bunkerville case, and President Obama. Bundy demands that he be released immediately and wants $50 million in sweet, sweet government money for his troubles.
No, really.
Bundy is huffy about things, it seems. He accuses Harry Reid of sending "federal storm-troopers to meet his sweet, loving "peaceful cowboys" who were just defending their God-granted right to let their cows eat all the federal lands they want.
They also allege that the federal government staged an "invasion and armed assault" so they could get rid of Cliven Bundy in order to for Reid and his son to personally profit from the land.
As JJ McNab pointed out, Klayman and/or Bundy could have spent the three minutes on the Internet it took to figure out that the Reid referred to in the "Reid Bunkerville LLC" corporate name has no relationship whatsoever to Harry Reid or his son.

Oops. And this, Mr. Bundy, is why the judge would not allow Larry Klayman to represent you in Federal Court, where the facts actually do matter and no one wants you to have ineffective assistance of counsel as an excuse for an appeal.
Which is, of course, why Judge Navarro is named in the lawsuit as well. TPM reports:
The complaint also suggests Navarro should recuse herself from the Nevada case, in part because “she is a Latino activist,” and Larry Klayman, the conservative attorney who filed the lawsuit on Bundy’s behalf, also represents Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who rose to infamy by championing aggressive border patrol by local law enforcement.
Navarro denied Bundy’s request to let Klayman join his legal defense team in April. The Southern Poverty Law Center calls Klayman “a pathologically litigious attorney and professional gadfly notorious for suing everyone from Iran’s Supreme Leader to his own mother.”
I know this is a difficult concept for Cliven Bundy to understand, but he should try and wrap his mind around it anyway. He's a lawbreaking thief, a thug, and he's spending the rest of his miserable life behind bars.
