You have GOT to be kidding me. ABC News reports that Ted Cruz might be "shaking up the narrative" by announcing failed HP executive neutron bomb and golden parachute recipient Carly Fiorina as his vice presidential pick.
Carly Fiorina is being vetted by Ted Cruz's campaign as a possible vice presidential pick, Sarah Isgur Flores, a senior strategist to Fiorina, told ABC News.
Flores said no offers have been made at this time.
"We have acknowledged some time ago that we have begun a vice presidential search process," Cruz said. "Any responsible candidate just a couple of months out from the convention would begin that process. We’ve begun examining both a long list and now a shorter list. And that naturally includes a vetting process. At this point, no decisions have been made in terms of who a nominee would be, or what the timing would be of the announcement."
Carly Fiorina is not in the least bit gravitas enough to bring one vote to the Ted Cruz camp. She has to know that there is no way Ted Cruz is going to be elected, so her willingness to play White House with Cruz has to be in order to increase her payday on the talk show circuit. I can believe she'd rather write her own ticket on television than replace Reince Priebus as RNC chair, as has earlier been suggested.
What do you think is up with this Ted Cruz/Carly Fiorina trial balloon, anyway? Let us know in comments.
