Once again, the corporate media bowed to their overlord, Donald Drumpf, and gave up 35 minutes of commercial-free coverage to a bizarre "press conference" at Mar-a-Lago, his lavish Florida estate.
There was nothing in that press conference worth covering for a minute, much less 35 minutes, but there were some entertaining moments with Chris Christie standing behind him like a bar bouncer.
As Drumpf bloviated, Christie's eyes scanned the reporters below the stage constantly, while he appeared at times bored and at others interested -- in something happening below. Drumpf wasn't interesting to him at all; in fact, his enthusiasm meter was scoring down in the negative zone.
The point of the press conference was for Drumpf to utter the word "uniter" about sixty times as he pivots to the set of lies he's crafted for the general election. Christie's presence can be interpreted in a number of ways, I suppose, but the one Drumpf intended was the one where he signals that he, Donald Drumpf, is now the leader of today's Republican Party.
Good luck with that.
We didn't think any words Drumpf uttered were worth the bandwidth to hear, so here's our summary of Drumpf's presser, in under 60 seconds.
