Fox News was so excited that Donald Trump will ring in the New Year with the “fair and balanced” network, it couldn’t wait and line up any other guests before making the “big announcement!” on the air. Or else none of the other guests mattered.

Today, on The Five, cohost Eric Bolling announced that Fox's New Year’s Eve special will be “a ton of fun” He added, “A lot of great people are going to join us. And since it’s 2016, we thought it’d be great to hear from some candidates.”

Of course, when Bolling said "some candidates," he meant “Republican candidates.”

“Donald Trump is going to ring in the new year with us and you’re gonna hear from a bunch more of the 2016 contenders,” Bolling continued.

“It’s gonna be fantastic,” Kimberly Guilfoyle” chimed in. “Really looking forward to it.” Maybe she'll chat with him about her desire to "just kill" the Guantanamo Bay prisoners.

As Media Matters noted, “The special caps a year in which Fox News and Trump were virtually connected at the hip.” Trump got more than double the Fox News airtime of his closest co-competitor, Chris Christie. So it’s no surprise “he’ll likely be first in line for their coverage in 2016.”

Apparently, Trump’s on-again, off-again feud with Fox News is off again. Not only does Fox not care that it’s slobbering over an appearance from a bigoted hate monger but it doesn’t care that it’s also promoting a guy who has repeatedly smeared its own Megyn Kelly.
