Senator John McCain joined the Fox News Exploitation Of Paris Tragedy party today with attacks on John Kerry and President Obama.
On Your World, host Neil Cavuto all but prodded McCain to attack Kerry (part of today’s Fox meme) by quoting Republican candidate Chris Christie who, according to Cavuto, said, “Maybe Kerry should get some sleep and shut up.”
“I agree with Chris Christie,” McCain said. "John Kerry has probably been the most inept Secretary of State that, certainly in my lifetime.” In fact, Kerry has accomplished quite a bit, which Cavuto did not point out.
McCain also joined Fox’s Blame Obama For Paris Terror Attacks party by saying, “Let’s not forget why this all happened. It happened because you have a feckless foreign policy by a president who refuses to lead.”
Not surprisingly, what McCain wants is 10,000 more U.S. troops as part of an international force with Sunni Arabs.
There are reasons that U.S. troops might just create another quagmire and not a long-term solution. But Cavuto didn’t mention any of them.
Apparently, the wisdom of the guy who thought Sarah Palin was qualified to step into the presidency if needed is not to be challenged.
