It's always interesting to see what the folks over at Fox News think about the Democrats' debate. And sure, there'll be plenty of time for them to work over the outrage stories. For example, I can imagine there will be plenty of outrage about Hillary saying she's made enemies out of Iranians and Republicans.

Fox News, however, usually brings in Frank Luntz and this debate was no exception. They rounded up 28 self-identified Democrats from Florida and put Luntz in a room with them. Here are some of the takeaways:

  1. Bernie Sanders won their hearts - Half walked in supporting Clinton and less than that did after the debate.
  2. The email moment was the highest point - I would agree with that, but for different reasons. One panelist said he was protecting her. That didn't resonate with me, but the one who said it's a "non-issue" wins the analysis there. I appreciated that moment too, because it is high time someone kicked the media's ass and told them nobody cares but them.

Another respondent said "this country is tired of the focus on personal infractions." Amen to that person, too.

  3. Panelists appreciated the focus on real issues - One panelist observed that it was the "first time I've ever heard any candidates talking about real issues." Yes, and those were Democrats up there doing that. The same ones demonized by Fox News on a daily basis.
  4. Every panelist felt Webb and Chafee should drop out - Every hand went up when they were asked this question,
  5. Panelists felt the Republican candidates were idiots compared to Dems

Roger Ailes had to be banging his head on the desk. That Republican clown car that he built is heading right off a cliff, while Democrats are calmly discussing actual real-life issues that matter to Americans.

I hope there's no cure for what "Ailes" him.
