On the eve of the lifting of a travel ban yesterday, Colonel Ralph Peters had some advice for the United States with regards to the "Taliban 5" who were swapped for the release of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. He said,
"when their travel ban is lifted, track them, and wherever they turn up, kill them. There's no part of the deal that says once they leave Qatar, we can't kill them."
He actually referred to them as the Bergdahl 5. Under Obama, he believes that Islamic Fundamentalism has grown, because, you know, Obama (not Bush/Cheney). Peters claims the president has not grasped the gravity of the threat and is still unwilling to do anything on a global scale (but he praises President Obama's domestic protection efforts).
We learn, today that the travel ban has been extended for another year. In order to prove the point Peters was trying to make yesterday, Fox and Friends interviewed Illinois Republican Representative Adam Kinzinger. 
The first part of this segment with Brian Kilmeade, was devoted to saying it's not a big deal that the travel ban was extended for another year because, as Kinzinger says, "in international politics, a year is like that." He then references any agreement we reach with Iran as totally insignificant, because it is not going to be long enough for the GOP, no matter what. Netanyahu said so, thus, it is a fact.
Then he discussed our military impotence with regards to the dire situation in Syria. Instead of parroting the idea that, just maybe, the unnecessary and erroneous invasion of Iraq caused this nightmare called ISIS, we will shift the blame primarily on Bashar al-Assad. He's pushing that story, because lately, Rand Paul's idea that GOP hawks have started ISIS with the invasion of Iraq and apparently, Libya.
ISIS exists and who is stronger because of the hawks in our party who gave arms indiscriminately. Most of those arms were snatched up by ISIS. These hawks wanted to bomb Assad, which would have made ISIS’ job even easier. They created these people. ISIS is all over Libya because these same hawks in my party, they loved Hillary Clinton’s war in Libya . They just wanted more of it. Libya is a failed state. It’s a disaster. Iraq really is a failed state.”
So the president can't win for losing. The Taliban 5 have been delayed on their reentry into Afghanistan, but Fox 'News' doesn't care that this has been accomplished. No compliments will ever come from Faux News over any Obama administration victory. Don't forget, Bergdahl has been painted as the worst volunteer to go to horrible places as a soldier in history. Any deal with regards to Bowe is a bad deal, in perpetuity.
