After returning home from captivity with the Taliban, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is now returning to active duty for the army.
Six weeks after being released from five years in Taliban captivity, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is expected to return to life as a regular Army soldier as early as Monday, Defense Department officials said late Sunday.
Sergeant Bergdahl has finished undergoing therapy and counseling at an Army hospital in San Antonio, and will assume a job at the Army North headquarters at the same base, Fort Sam Houston, the officials said.
CNN reports that he will be given a desk job at Fort Sam Houston:
The soldier will soon take a desk job at Fort Sam Houston, said U.S. Army North spokesman Don Manuszewski. Bergdahl will be assigned to a unit responsible for homeland defense, civil support operations and security cooperation programs involving countries such as Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas.
Until the army finishes their investigation, nobody knows for sure what really happened to Bergdahl, but that hasn't stopped many conservative activists from labeling him as a traitor and a deserter which is fueling many more attacks against a U.S. soldier.
Fox News' Eric Bolling from The Five, was so angry that the army is giving him a desk job where he might "see stuff," that he has the ideal post for him.
Bolling: Can you imagine putting this guy back at a desk job? Which apparently he's going to have access to computers, access to information and he's going to see stuff. I don't know....
Quickly, I have a great idea. if you want to put him behind a desk, get him back into service or what ever you want to do, send him to Gitmo, I'm sure there's a desk in Gitmo he can sit behind.
Bolling has now been appointed Bergdahl's judge and jury by Roger Ailes and has convicted him of high treason already so what better place is there for Bergdahl than Gitmo?
I've never seen conservatives attack an active member of the United States military who was captured and tortured like this before in my life.
