To make it to 89 is a damn fine accomplishment for a blues man, though, that's for sure. In those 89 years, it is said that B.B. played over 15,000 shows. Assuming he played one show a day, that'd be 41 years of straight gigging. It sounds a bit farfetched, but with a guy who played as much as B.B., I wouldn't have put it past him. Heck, he was even touring up until as late as last year with no plans of stopping or slowing down. It was truly the only life he knew, and for that, we are forever grateful. Thank you, B.B., for all you've done for the blues and music itself, Rest In Peace.
