I guess Fox News hasn't gotten the memo about this years SOTU not being a big deep dark secret. For the past two and a half weeks, President Obama has been unveiling his wish list as he'll outline it on Tuesday night. But since Fox is clueless, Maria Bartiromo turned to Jamie Dimon to give the President some of his sage wisdom.
After hearing his advice, I'm thinking it would have been better if Bartiromo had asked Dimon to give Republicans some advice on what needs to be done. Of the five things Dimon listed, four of them have been consistently blocked by Republicans for the past six years.
Here's Dimon's list: Infrastructure, corporate tax reform, immigration reform, education reform including community college assistance, and trade policy.
Dimon swears the Trans-Pacific Partnership would be great for the economy. That's the only piece of his advice that is a lie. It wouldn't be great for the economy; but it would be just awesome for billionaires who want to rake in a few more billions, particularly if they can sock away that money abroad while destroying more jobs here at home.
Other than that, his proposals sound like he read a transcript of the President's speech and listed them out for Bartiromo's eager viewers.
If Jamie wants it, they'll deliver. Right?
