We lost an iconic voice today. Joe Cocker was one of the most identifiable voices of the past half century. A soulful singer of tremendous energy and honesty. I had the privilege of playing and touring with Joe for several years. I've been commiserating with his friends and professional professional associates all day. His impact on popular music cannot be overstated. Those of us who were close to Joe knew of his illness and were aware of his failing condition, but I'm still overwhelmed with sadness at the news.
