Cenk nailed it here. I'll sum it up for you just like he does in the first few seconds. If you want to know why this country is run by old white people, it's because they show up.
Until young people and people of color commit to voting without someone at the top of the ticket they're inspired by, they will cede government to old white dudes who don't really give a damn what they think.
Tuesday's turnout was the lowest since the 1940s.
Excuses on Twitter under the hashtag #IDidntVote were pathetic. Some were inventions, but the ones that weren't were still insane.
Like not voting because they didn't have enough information. I guess it was too difficult to take time out from tweeting to get some?
Or not voting because the candidates weren't awesome. They ain't seen nothing yet.
On and on it goes. Until liberals reliably show up in midterms and vote, we will get the results we deserve.
