Claiming the "benefit to risk ratio" was surely enough to disincentivize the return of the two Americans with Ebola from Liberia, presidential wannabe and virulent anti-welfare advocate, Dr. Ben Carson, derides the thought of the two Ebola-ridden Americans entering this country under any precautions.
Since an Ebola fatality occurred in Nigeria, it is a fait accompli that bringing these two Americans home to treat them in a thoroughly quarantined facility potentially exposes the whole nation. Carson claims Dr. Brantly and Nancy Writebol could very well have been treated outside the United States. The neurosurgeon and hater of all things Obamacare blames who else: President Obama.
The Fox Business reporter then asked Carson if he is considering a run as the GOP nominee for 2016. Of course, he quoted The Book of Proverbs 11:14 as the reason he formed the USAFirst PAC, first to explore the candidates we need to win in the midterm elections, then to win the White House in 2016.
Following the marching orders of the GOP playbook, Carson mentions the 300 bills the House has passed that have not been put up for a vote in the Senate. What every Republican fails to admit, this is actually a fairly low number, as we all know the 113th Congress has some pretty hair-brained ideas about a woman's right to choose, climate science denial and teaching Creationism instead of that liberal nonsense, evolution.
Dr. Carson claims he doesn't want to get involved in the mud-slinging that comes with campaigns even though he did compare Obamacare to the atrocities of slavery. The Fox Business anchor asks, what would you run on? Ben Carson, a deeply religious man, says,
"I would run on the message we are one nation, under god, indivisible with liberty and justice for all."
Where on earth did he come up with that strategy?
Justice certainly doesn't include healthcare as a god-given right for poor people. GOP Jesus is not too concerned with the health and well-being of poor American kids, everyone knows that. Carson claims all these "wars" such as the war on women, age wars, income wars, race wars and religious wars are all nefarious constructs of the evil Democrat party. Dr. Carson is absolutely certain the GOP is never to blame for our woes.
