In 2005, George W. Bush hosted a town-hall meeting in Denver, at which three law-abiding, ticket-holding Americans were removed from a public event because officials didn't like the bumper sticker on their car.

Three years later, John McCain hosted a town-hall meeting in Denver, and a law-abiding American was removed from a public event because officials didn't like her homemade sign.

The woman who was ticketed for her innocuous sign, Carol Kreck, a 61-year-old librarian, asks a reasonable question: why would a Republican campaign find a "McCain=Bush" sign so offensive?
