This Week with Christiane Amanpour marks the passings of actor Karl Slover and Olympian Walt Hazzard. The Pentagon has released the names of seven soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

US Army SPC Calvin M Pereda, 21, Fayetteville, NC
US Army SPC David E Hickman, 23, Greensboro, NC
US Army SPC James R Burnett Jr, 21, Wichita, KS
US Army PFC Matthew C Colin, 22, Navarre, FL
US Army SPC Sean M Walsh, 21, San Jose, CA

According to iCasualties, the total number of allied service members killed in Iraq now stands at 4,803; in Afghanistan, 2,812, of which, 158 were Canadian. During this same period, Iraq Body Count lists 59 Iraq civilians killed, for a month-to-date total of 141.
