Though can't help but think that these are starting to look like nostalgia tours, this double-bill (which will showcase the original Jane's Addiction lineup and Nine Inch Nails, whose lineup as always is irrelevant) is about as good of a nineties time-travel trek as you can get short of a Cobain resurrection or a Soundgarden reunion. That last one's not that far-fetched, actually.
Trent Reznor is threatening to make this the last Nine Inch Nails tour, which like any hugely successful band promising its own death is to be taken with a big canister of Morton Salt. I believe Jane's Addiction once made a similar promise. This clip of Perry Farrell (who turns 50 this month!) and company going back on that promise for the hundredth time at The Echoplex in LA a couple weeks ago shows that it's probably a good thing that they do.
