Sorry for having to put Dennis Miller on here, but the performance from Houston's greatest, Kings's X, makes it worthwhile.
King's X spent most of 1988-1995 perennially "about to break". Always a little too pretty for metal fans, too polished for grunge fans, and bearing an unshakable scarlet letter from their connection to the contemporary Christian market, their blend of psychedelic progressive metal with slabs of Beatle-esque paisley pop and the gospel-inspired vocals didn't make sense to everyone, but it garnered them a following that allows them to still tour frequently to larger crowds than many bands they once opened for do today.
They will be on the road all summer.
