Dub pioneer Keith Hudson's "The Michael Talbot Affair", a rework of "House of the Rising Sun". Every song on Hudson's 1975 classic Pick a Dub still sounds fresh to these ears. The All Music Guide gets it right, as usual:

There are not a lot of goofy sound effects and studio screwing around, just buckets of blood and sweat all rolled into a seductive slab of percussive heaviness that will rattle every filling in your head. Once a forgotten obscurity, Pick a Dub was rescued by the folks at Blood and Fire, who re-released it in 1994. Go buy it today.

I'm partial to dub as far as reggae is concerned, and Pick a Dub and Scientist's Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampires are in eternal battle for the top spot in my top reggae albums list. What are your faves?
