Two years ago it was free. Last year it was just one show in Texas. This year, Ozzfest will not be happening at all.

Blabbermouth:

Ozzy Osbourne is currently in the studio in Los Angeles co-producing his tenth studio album with Kevin Churko. [snip] The two-time Grammy Award winner has decided that he will not be touring until he has a new album in stores (currently projected to be Thanksgiving 2009). Thus, Ozzy has decided to put his namesake festival Ozzfest on hold this year.

I spent much of my early teens listening to Black Sabbath tapes and CDs cursing the year I was born, which happened to be the last year that Black Sabbath had recorded with Ozzy at the mic. Seeing Sabbath reunite at Ozzfest 1999 and blow away every fresh-faced hard rock act to kick a double bass pedal that day in their first three chords made it the most convincing rock reunion I've seen so far.
