The Communications Workers of America created a spoof of the latest ad from T-Mobile "No More Mr. Nice Girl," to protest the company's plans to close call centers in the United States and outsource thousands of jobs. The idea that T-Mobile is the one that is no longer nice is based on the company's plans:

  • T-Mobile USA is planning to close seven call centers in June
  • 3,300 workers are at risk of losing their jobs
  • Additionally, the company has shipped 6,000 jobs overseas to the Philippines and Honduras
  • The 7 call centers set to close are: Allentown, PA.; Fort Lauderdale, FL.; Frisco, TX; Brownsville, TX; Thornton, CO; Redmond, OR; & Lenexa, KS
  • The message in T-Mobile's original ad is a little sketchy, as they are suggesting that the company is getting 'tough' and providing a better network and service for customers, something that isn't quite supported by their actual actions, particularly towards their workers.
