Wow, our House of Representatives is definitely on track to make history, and not in a good way. John Boehner assured reporters on Monday that the House of Representatives had absolutely no intention of dealing realistically with student loans or immigration reform.

House Speaker John Boehner is sticking to his position: The House will not vote on the Senate-passed immigration bill.

“I’ve made it clear and I’ll make it clear again, the House does not intend to take up the Senate bill,” Boehner said Monday. “The House is going to do its own job in developing an immigration bill.”

Yes, just like they did with student loans. And the budget. And every other pressing issue there has been in front of this Congress in the past three years.

Shorter John Boehner: No immigration reform, no student loan fixes, but I'm sure we can find a way to repeal Obamacare again while holding the debt ceiling hostage!
